Mmmm... can you smell the beginning of Spring that is slowly creeping upon us? As I walked around my neighborhood this past weekend it was absolute perfection of 70 degrees; I admired all of the florals that are beginning to blossom. It is a reminder the warm, sunny days are fast approaching. Which also means hosting season is just around the corner and I cannot wait!
Having a custom fragrance that is personal and unique has always been a desire of mine, for both my perfumes and home. My love for candles continues year round and having a fragrance to showcase each season is key. After many years of trial and error, I want to share with you (in no specific order) some of my absolute favorites.
No. 1 Beach Vacay by MOODCAST mango blossom, coconut husk, palm leaves
Beach Vacay is a delicate scent and it gives complete spring break vibes. Not only is the candle holder completely fun and provides a shimmery goodness, but so is the fragrance. I will continuously have this on repeat from now until September. My little ones have given their stamp of approval on this candle. How do I know you ask? They have now taken claim and marked their stakes for their personal scent in their bedroom. I cannot blame them as it is that worthy of snatchery. This is definitely one of my top favorites at the moment.
No. 2 Fresh Sea Salt by Illume
sea spray, jasmine, breeze
Fresh Sea Salt is a perfect blend of floral meets fresh. It immediately transported me to a seaside cottage overlooking the sandy seascape whilst folding the fluffiest white towels you ever did see. I become completely captivated when thinking of this fragrance. I imagine feeling the warm toasty sun on my face, with the gentle sea breeze passing by, and hearing the whimsical shelled wind chimes with the seagulls gawking in the distance. If you are a fellow cottage-core lover like me, this one is for you! Ps- checkout the other design options in this fragrance, they are all so beautiful!
No. 3 Vanilla Era by Boy Smells
vanilla, tulip, amber, saffron, coffee absolute
First off, obsessed with both the name of the candle's fragrance and company! This is candle is one I have personally not tried, but is on the top of my to-do list. I love that it is a local California company that uses clean ingredients and a simple, yet aesthetically pleasing packaging. Vanilla and coffee are two of my favorite fragrance combinations, and I was intrigued to see that the scent omits a more floral/earthly aroma. Boy Smells also has a scale for their candles smell intensity. This one is a 4 out of 5 on their scale. Perfect for someone like me who isn't as bothered by the intensity of a fragrance, but may not be the best option for someone who is more sensitive to smells.
No. 4 MILK by k.hall designs
coconut, vanilla, cream
MILK is completely nostalgic for me! Immediately upon smelling this candle for the first time it took my back to being seven years old and vending Jelly Belly's beans from my grandmother's gumball machine from her desk at work. Any guesses which flavor this smells EXACTLY like?? If you guessed Juicy Pear you were correct. Not only is it a lovely flavor in jelly bean form, but also makes for a scrumptious candle scent. What better way to kick of spring's arrival than a pear fragranced candle that comes with a side of amazing childhood memories. I cannot recommend this candle enough!! It's sweet, light, airy, and all together a perfect selection for this upcoming season!
No. 5 Sweet Grapefruit by PF.CandleCo
grapefruit, yuzu, lemon
"Like an ice cold lemonade at dinner with your favorite group of people", P.F Candle Co. I could not have said this better! It's a sweet, refreshing treat after a long, warm day. Not only is it one of my top favorite candles for spring and summer, but also my mother's. And you know what they say, mothers know best! P.F. Candle Co. is a local San Francisco company which makes me love this candle that much more. Another amazing feature of this brand's candle is the even burn, no wonky melting wax with these as you scent your home with this. Please go show P.F.
